Doctor of Veterinarian Medicine

Hi, I am Dr. Kent Callicott, one of the sons of Tom and Carolyn Callicott. I went to school in Overland Park graduating from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1985. I knew I wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age. I set my sights on being a DVM in kindergarten. I attended Auburn University in Alabama for one year and then attended Kansas State University from 1986 to 1990.

During this time I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. I then continued my professional education at Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine where I graduated in 1992. I have since been practicing in the Greater Kansas City area. I began practicing in Missouri and then began to work at Petworks in1998 with Dr. Paris Revoir. Petworks opened its doors in 1991.I took over the practice the practice in 2004. A lot of clients stayed with me from Dr. Revior. I am so grateful to all my past, present and furture clients. Your pets are a part of your family and I am so honored that you have chosen us to take care of them.

 I married my high school sweetheart and “right hand”, Angie. We married in 1991. We recently celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary. We have two children, Madalyn and Mason.Madalyn is a pastry chef and Mason will be graduating from highschool in May. In addition to taking care of your furry friend I love my three dog ans two cats. My dogs are Booh a Yorkshire terrier, June a labradoodle, Teddy a toy poodle, Finn and Snyder our black cats.I have had so many wonderful and loving pets throughout my life that there are too many to mention.

I do not have a lot of down time due to running a one doctor practice. But, I have several hobbies I enjoy. I love to travel and explore new places. I have been on many vacations with Angie, Maddie and Mason. We site see and take hundreds of pictures, but I have really liked the activities we plan. We have done rock climbing, rock reppeling, white water rafting, scuba diving, snorkeling, zip linging, samon fishing,kyaked and so many other adventures. In addition to traveling I enjoy running, biking, golf, concerts and most of all being with my family. I am proud to say that I have ran a marathon and completed many triathalons around the area with my family cheering me on..

Petworks has been a mainstay at it's location since 1991and has continued to grow over the past 12 years since we have taken over ownership. We have addeed stateof the art technology to better serve our clients and their companions.

I love my job. Each day brings a new challenge and something to learn. I go to a lot of conferences and seminars to keep my skills sharp and current within the veterinary community.I strive to provide the absolute best medicine and service possible to my clients and their four legged family members.
