Dr. Callicott was born and raised in Overland Park. He is one of the sons of Tom and Carolyn Callicott. He went to school in Overland Park graduating from Shawnee Mission West High School in 1985.
Dr. Callicott knew he wanted to be a veterinarian from an early age. He set his sights on being a DVM in kindergarten. He attended Auburn University in Alabama for one year and then attended Kansas State University from 1986 to 1990. During this time he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science. He then went continued his professional education at Kansas State University's College of Veterinary Medicine where he graduated in 1992. He has since been practicing in the Greater Kansas City are. He began practicing in Missouri and then began to work at Petworks in1998 with Dr. Paris Revoir. Petworks opened its doors in 1991.He took over the practice the practice in 2004.
During those years Dr. Callicott married his high school sweetheart and “right hand”, Angie. They married in 1991. They recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They have two children, Madalyn and Mason. In addition to taking care of your furry companions he loves his three dogs, Booh, June and Teddy and 2 cats Snyder and Finn. He enjoys playing softball on the Petworks staff team, traveling, running, cycling and going to Lake Pom de Terr.
Petworks has been a mainstay at it's location since 1991and has continued to grow over the past 12 years since Dr. Callicott has owned it. Dr. Callicott has added some state of the art technology to better serve his clients.
